I currently have about 10 pre-T-top paf style humbuckers. These are the second generation pat. sticker model that contain black and white bobbin leads. They also contain the more orange color bobbin wire. Most of these read around the mid 7K’s. Generally I believe this style came to be around 1965, usually with chrome covers.

I currently have around 10 vintage PAF’s. Double whites, zebras, and double blacks. All are original, with covers, and vary in price according to collectibility and condition, lead length, and D.C. resistance readings. I have one set of beautiful double whites, with the nickel covers never removed. Without fail, everyone who has purchased PAF pickups has found them to sound magical.
